UNC and the City of Greeley Host Venture Funding and Alternative Financing Event
UNC’s Monfort College of Business, in collaboration with the City of Greeley (Colorado), sponsored Innovation Talks, an event designed to ignite innovation, foster collaboration, and propel Greeley’s business landscape into a new era of growth. The March 2024 meeting focused on the topic of Venture Funding and Alternative Financing and included a deep dive into the dynamic world of entrepreneurship. Speakers shared the secrets to securing financial backing, navigating the funding landscape, and accelerating the trajectory of new business ventures.
The meeting, held on the UNC campus, included a networking session and talks by UNC faculty about entrepreneurship in academia, ‘the accidental entrepreneur,’ and using research as a resource in health innovation.
The event was moderated by Phil McCready, the City of Greeley’s economic development manager, and hosted by Isaac Wanasika, department chair and professor in the Monfort College of Business.
