Emerge

What Is EMERGE?

EMERGE (Enabling Meaningful External Research Growth in Emergent Technologies) is a collaboration of regional universities focused on building valuable relationships through strategic partnerships to expand our innovation potential. Leveraging the skills and strengths of each member institution, we partner with stakeholders on high-impact and inclusive research and development (R&D), translation of research into practice, and talent development in emerging technology fields.

Purpose

In an increasingly competitive global environment, American innovation ecosystems must tap into the full range of diverse talent found at all types of institutions. Given their diverse student populations, regional universities provide a transformational opportunity to significantly expand the nation’s innovation capacity.

Mission

EMERGE is a consortium of universities dedicated to fostering economic and social progress through innovation, research, and talent development in emerging technology fields. Our mission is to forge meaningful relationships between member institutions and regional partners to create a robust foundation for conducting inclusive, use-inspired R&D.

These partnerships support workforce needs and provide students with hands-on, high-impact skills. Member institutions share a commitment to social empowerment and community development, which serves as a guiding principle for our collective efforts.
